Not long ago, I was watching an episode of Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap. This is a television show that revolves around Thailand and the culture of the Thai people. The first episode of the Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap was released in 2020 and has just been broadcast on the third season of the Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap TV series.
In this particular episode, however, there is more to the story than simply Thailand, it is a major tournament in China and one of the participants is actually known as "A Dream". Even with all these spoilers, I decided to go watch the Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap series myself and see what all the buzz was about.
You might ask why it would be called the Dream Game Show and it's because the winner would be chosen to compete in the world championship of fortune telling. The entire team consists of fortune tellers who practice all day and night so they can predict what the winner of the game show is going to do. The team can choose their favorite contestants at the start of the game show, but the list changes all the way until the game show begins. Some of the known contestants include:
John Hutton. John Hutton is known for his terrible predictions. His extreme lack of imagination tends to land him in trouble because he has only two options; you either love him or hate him and he doesn't even get more than half a percentage of the vote.
Tiffany. Tiffany has some sort of unusual condition that causes her to have weird dreams and if she is asked which team she thinks will win the game show, she instantly guesses the right answer. But of course, there are a lot of things that could cause her to predict the winner correctly.
Serena. Serena is known for her very analytical nature and she's also a very talented psychic. She's given the nickname "Serene" by her competitors and when she gets it wrong, the crowd has a great time laughing at her because if Serena was right, she would know immediately, not like Serena who is so predictable.
The final winner of the game show is a man named Kong. He's not a psychic or a fortune teller by any means, but he is a very skilled martial artist and he's been able to overcome injuries that he's had throughout the series. I'm sure the other contestants thought he was invincible but not so much. He's trained for years and now he knows that he needs to think ahead of time.
It is only because of this that the show is getting such a massive amount of publicity in the media and behind the scenes. In fact, it was so popular that it was even syndicated on China National Radio so that they could announce their winner and get more exposure for their show.
