Fatman on steroids was a very funny movie that starred Dabney Coleman as Dr. John Banner, a medical researcher who was turned into a steroid addict. He then went berserk killing several people in New York City. The storyline of this film was extremely entertaining and I loved it a great deal. I thought the movie went extremely well with a number of entertaining one liners and plot twists.
Watching Fatman on steroids is like taking a walk in the park. There were times when I laughed so hard my jaw hurt. I would compare the movie to the Rambo movies in a way. The storyline is probably not as exciting as the Rambo movies but I found the movie to be enjoyable and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie.
Based on the book "At Last, the Beginning", the movie "At Last, the Beginning" tells the story of John Banner, a scientist who transforms himself into a superhero after an unfortunate accident leaves him with amnesia. The accident leaves him with amnesia of the things that happened in his past. One day, while visiting his Uncle Hal's farm, John's Uncle surprises him and punches him unconscious. When John awakens, he finds himself in the hospital where he soon finds out that his Uncle was the victim of a brutal attack committed by some terrorists with acid-filled vats. When John tries to tell his parents what happened, they are too afraid to believe him and they leave him in the care of his grandmother. This leads John to form the team that would become known as the Fatman squad.
With the help of his friends, John sets about looking for the perpetrators and they track down the group of terrorists. John is forced to kill two of the terrorists when the police arrive, but he finds himself having to save the lives of his friend, Rose, and his girlfriend, Beth. Fatman on the field! You can see the movie from start to finish without stopping because the Fatman website streams it in high definition. You don't need a video camera because all you need is your computer and an internet connection.
The movie has some excellent special effects and sequences that will leave you breathless. However, one sequence takes the whole concept of the Fatman concept and turns it on its head. In the second half of the movie, we see John as the FBI agent who is chasing Rose and Beth. This leads to some very intense moments between John and Rose where they are almost in each other's arms. The fight between the FBI agent and the terrorists is so intense that you can barely see what is happening around you.
The movie is directed by Shimit Amin, who did the original Fatman series. Amin only directed one movie "Altered Beast" and is well known for his action and thriller genre. So, it is not surprising that he is working on a sequel to his first hit film. The film is expected to release in the second half of next year and is already gaining fans. I am sure that people, who saw the first movie with their families, will also wait for the sequel, just as eager as we are.
