Cities: Skylines is an online city-builder game developed by Paradox Interactive and published by Paradox Interactive. The game is an online, single-player, open-ended city-building simulation. Players engage in city planning through careful planning and implementation of various public policies, transportation provision, taxation, building sanitation, and aesthetic aspects. As you are able to observe from the screenshots below, cities are built via different means, including; bridges, tunnels, railways, airports, parks, etc. You can build as if you were playing the role of a mayor, preparing for city festivals, receiving gifts from businessmen, etc. You are also allowed to make major decisions regarding the running of your city by utilizing your power.
Cities: Skylines features both city building and aerial view. City building involves the placement of buildings, subways, roads, railways, etc., and aerial view showcases the topography of a given city. These 2 modes are offered with the purchase and download of the game. If you like to experience city building by creating your own virtual metropolis, then this is the right game for you. If you prefer aerial view then you should purchase the Skylines map pack.
Skylines gives you the option of connecting to a virtual subway system as well as bus network. By using the buses, you can quickly move between various areas that include the downtown areas, cultural centers, business districts, etc. You can also connect to a real public transportation system, which can pick you up and drop you off at various destinations. The only issue with the public transportation is that it runs on very slow speeds and even the most insignificant traffic jams could easily cause you to lose control of your skylines, so be sure to carefully watch out.
Skylines Cities: Airports offers you the opportunity to experience what it would be like to operate a commercial airport in real life. This mode uses the most realistic graphics and sound systems available and allows you to either land your plane or even fly a helicopter through the air. Although it is not possible to land your plane on the water in Skylines: Cities, you can still operate a plane using the ground running modes. Both the airports and the cities have all the essential requirements you need to enjoy the full benefits of the simulation, such as electricity, fuel, personnel services, food services, taxicabs, etc.
Skylines: Manhattan requires the player to choose from a wide range of tower types. Tower I offer you lower Manhattan views while Tower II offers better views of the higher portions of Manhattan. Both of these manmade skyscrapers, which are known as skyscraper icons, are available in various styles. If you want to experience the feeling of a New York skyscraper, then this is definitely the right game for you.
The buildings of Skylines: New York includes both residential neighborhoods and business ones. These skyscrapers are carefully planned and well constructed, with accurate sizes and textures. You can see the effect of a skyscraper by looking at a close-up. In order to get a feel of how a skyscraper looks like, it is best to play in the open version. In the closed versions, you can actually walk around the streets and take a look at the real architecture.
