Spycies, a new animated science fiction movie directed by Alex Proyas (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) is one that I highly recommend. The story is simple but extremely engaging and entertaining, and I can't wait to see how the film ends.
Two rogue secret agents, named Vladimir (Casper Saupau) and Hector (Ethan Embry) are trying desperately to recover an important top secret document stolen by dangerous yet elusive intruders. Their only way to do so is to team up and take down the group of terrorists behind the crime. With a large number of different environments and a large number of different plot twists, I'm sure that the film will leave you wanting more.
If you're familiar with Alex Proyas's Terminator franchise, then you'll know exactly what to expect from Spycies. However, there are a number of different elements that make the film unique and different from other sci-fi films. The concept of the film is very interesting. As you watch the film you'll see the duo constantly running around the different locations, as they try to find a way to stop the villains and bring order to the world. This type of action is rare for a science fiction movie, and it works well here.
The acting throughout this film is also very good. I especially liked how the supporting cast was portrayed and how the background music made you feel like the characters were really talking to you. There were also a number of interesting scenes throughout the film that showed the villains in their most compromising positions, and even some nice use of computer generated imagery and 3D technology to add to the realism of the characters and scenes. The acting throughout this film just about nailed it, which is why I highly recommend watching this movie for the acting.
The acting and plot may be a bit more obscure than the other recent films that I've seen, but it's not that hard to get caught up in the action. If you're unfamiliar with these types of movies, then I'm sure you'll find this one a little bit more fun to watch than other films, although it may take a while to get all the different plots going and explain everything. and the characters completely. However, I found that it all turned out pretty well, and it's not something that will leave you too confused.
Overall, Spycies is an excellent film for all sorts of fans of action, adventure and fantasy. While I have some problems with the plot, overall it was an entertaining film that I look forward to seeing on DVD time again. If you have the chance to see it, I highly recommend it.
