Upcoming movie by Adam Wingard titled Godzilla vs. Kong will be an up and coming American monster movie directed by Adam Wingard. Prequels to Godzilla and King Kong, this movie is designed to continue the themes introduced in both movies. Specifically, the story revolves around a nuclear disaster that sweeps across New York City, killing millions of people and rendering the cityscape under the sea. Also, Godzilla is declared a monster and forced to retreat to the Japanese-occupied islands. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, a giant volcanic eruption occurs in South Pacific, sending thousands of scared evacuees into the city and blocking many human beings from entering the city. Meanwhile, on land, a giant turtle called Godzilla tries to take over the city of San Fransisco.
Ironically, the U.S. is not in the World War II. However, many Americans were very interested and became fans of Godzilla. Many assumed that Godzilla was based on a real event. As a result, Godzilla vs. Kong takes place decades later, exactly ten years after the attack. Some even believe that Godzilla was purposely omitted from the original Godzilla movie because he was too controversial and no one wanted to include him.
On the morning of March 11th, Godzilla vs. Kong director Gareth Edwards finally revealed the plot and basic premise of the film to Entertainment Tonight (aired March 7th, inclusive of subtitles). The plot will center on a nuclear strike on San Fransisco following a giant eruption. Godzilla will again seek out Godzilla in order to defeat him once and for all. Unfortunately, on this day, Godzilla did not emerge from his sealed submarine to defend San Francisco against the monster.
Godzilla vs. Kong makes great entertainment, especially for those who love Godzilla movies. The Godzilla vs. Kong plot is exciting because it does not follow the traditional story of a Godzilla vs. Megatron. Godzilla vs. Kong instead takes place 100+ years after the events of Godzilla. That makes this Godzilla movie very different in the eyes of many.
This summer we have a number of popular media outlets attempting to cash in on the Godzilla vs. Kong craze. Two of these are the Godzilla vs. Kong game from Hasbro and Nickelodeon, which we will discuss. The first game involves playing as Godzilla and seeking out Kong in San Francisco. The second game comes from Disney and will be a compilation of the two films. As per the trailers and commercials we have seen, the Disney version of Godzilla Vs. Kong will feature many of the same features that we saw in the original Japanese film. We should also expect some pretty amazing graphics, although we won't know for sure until the game comes out.
For those who want to discuss the Godzilla vs. Kong vs. Riddick video game, the writers room is now a place to do so. In the past it seemed as though the writers room for Godzilla movies had been almost non-existent, but now the voice actors for Godzilla and Kong, Mike Myers and Jack Nicholson are both participating. So if you missed out on any Godzilla movies this March, I'm sure they'll have your back with the new game.
